I graduated with a B.Com Accountancy Degree at the University of Pretoria, obtained my FICA Diploma (Federal Institute of Certified Bookkeepers), completed my articles and became... a Tax and Bookkeeping Consultant before venturing into politics, where I was elected to the Johannesburg City Council for 6 years as Councillor for Ward 36. I was also appointed as a member of the Ellis Park Board of Directors as well as Chairman of the Transvaal Rugby Players Trust and appointed as a Justice of the Peace by the Minister of Justice and Commissioner of Oaths. I then entered the corporate world and was appointed as financial director of Galactex, the sole importers of the “Weber Barbeque” in South Africa, and it was here 3 years later that I was approached by Realty 1 Elk to enter into real estate. After 2 very successful years I accepted the challenge to open and manage the Era Steer franchise in George. Three years later Pam Golding Properties offered me a rewarding proposition and in March 2005 my family relocated to Gordon’s Bay. Myself and my wife, Jeanette, achieved the PGP Gold Club status award for 5 years as well as numerous achievement awards. In June 2008 I purchased the Leapfrog Franchise in Gordon’s Bay and personally won “World Class” status awards for 6 consecutive years. I also have 4 diplomas namely CEA, CRS, SA College of Auctioneering, NQF4 Real Estate and NQF5 – Real Estate for Principal Agents. I was elected as Chairman of the Gordon’s Bay Business Forum in May 2015, after which I decided to relinquish this position in November 2018. After many great years, we decided to move from Leapfrog Gordon’s Bay & Strand, to join Keller Williams Dynamic, as a team, from January 2020. Keller Williams is the biggest real estate company in the world, which means there will be bigger and better exposure to the benefit of all our clients. Our head office is based in Bakers Square Paardevlei, Somerset West, but we will continue doing business from our home as well, situated at 41 Chapman Avenue, Gordon’s Bay. Through teamwork everyone achieves more and the talented team our clients will be working with, is myself as the Team Leader of “Team Wearing” at Keller Williams Impact, with Jeanette Wearing, Elaine Carstens &Liezl Naude. This team has a total of more than 50 years’ experience between them and all are full status agents, registered with the EAAB.
