Irene property guide

Irene at a glance

If you have ever been to the village-style suburb of Irene, you would know that leaving is much harder than you thought! The quiet, tree-lined suburb is a welcome oasis in a busy city and it is hard to believe that mere kilometers from its borders lie the busy Centurion CBD.

Homes in this suburb leans toward character homes with the modern architectural masterpieces dotted throughout. Another drawing card for the suburb is the safety and security - which is maintained by the landowners association.

Because the suburb is halfway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, with easy access to the R21, the suburb is ideal for commuters who work within the busy cities but prefer to escape to a more relaxed country atmosphere when away from work.

Irene is not a suburb that just boasts with a country-feel, it lives and breathe country with cows grazing on lush green grass right next to the road - this is due to the very popular Irene Dairy Farm that continues to operate as such whilst also being a popular venue for picnics, birthday parties and weekend brunches.

The peaceful dairy farm’s coffee shop serves freshly brewed coffee, breakfasts, lunches and teas, and sells fresh farm milk, cheese, cream and delectable bakery goodies.

The area has quaint little shops for a quick milk and bread run, but the Irene Village Mall is just around the corner and has everything you would need in terms of food, clothing and entertainment.
