Hondeklipbaai is a small coastal town located on the west coast of South Africa, in the Namakwa District Municipality of the Northern Cape Province. The name "Hondeklipbaai" translates to "Dog Stone Bay" in Afrikaans, and it is believed to have been named after a large rock formation in the shape of a dog's head.

*The area has bulk services, but the stand is not yet connected to the water and electricity. Thus you only pay monthly property tax. Once you are ready to start building your home, you can instruct the Kamieberg Local Municipality to connect you to the bulk water and electricity services which will incur a once-off fee. Sewage tanks must be installed by the owner according to standards provided by the municipality which would then be serviced by the municipality.
*As stands here have stood undeveloped for a length of time, it may be necessary to obtain new boundary markings from a local Land Surveyor or obtain exact coordinates.
*No Transfer Duty applicable
*Transfer fees of approximately R12 000 payable to the transfer attorney
*Bond Attorney fees - if applicable - is approximately R17 000 and payable to Bond Attorney who is appointed by the bank.
*Please note that if applying for a bond, you would need an approximately 40% deposit ready in cash as banks generally only provide a 60% bond of the purchase price if the property is a vacant stand.
