Bela Bela at a glance

Formerly known as Warmbaths, Bela Bela (which means “the pot that boils”) has grown from its humble beginnings into a tourist hotspot.

Bela Bela lies in the Limpopo province but is close to Pretoria and Johannesburg, which means that many people opt to buy weekend getaway properties in the area. And who wouldn’t want to buy property in a town with one of the most scenic hot springs in the country?

The town is also known as a good agricultural region and has some well-stocked game reserves. Most of the resorts in Bela-Bela offer excellent sporting, accommodation and restaurant facilities. The area boasts the "Big Five" and virtually every savannah species of game found in South Africa. It is the ideal destination for hiking, game drives and birdwatching.

Buying property here means that you will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds - the city which is only an hour away and the rolling grasslands of the South African bush.
