Amanzimtoti at a glance

The laid-back Amanzimtoti attracts young and old to its shores with its outdoors lifestyle, mild weather and beautiful beaches.

The name Amanzimtoti means "sweet waters" and it is believed it was given this very apt name by the legendary Shaka Zulu. Residents here spend their days outside on the beaches either swimming, fishing or surfing.

The slower pace has attracted many residents who prefer to live a quieter lifestyle whilst working in the buzz of Durban.

As can be expected many properties are bought as either holiday rentals or holiday homes as the area is a tourist favourite.
